Lear said that the new plant in Morocco is expected to be operational in 2013 and will create about 700 jobs in the area.

Lear currently operates three factories in Morocco, two of which are located in Tangier, which produces electrical wiring systems and car seats, and the other is located in Rabat, mainly for BMW, Renault and Volkswagen.
