---
**Structure and Working Principle**
The pump consists of a pump body, driving and driven screws, shaft seal, synchronizing gears, and a safety valve. The screw features a symmetrical rectangular thread. The synchronized gears drive the screws to rotate and move in opposite directions, drawing in the fluid from both sides and discharging it through the center outlet. A safety valve is installed on the side of the pump body, with an initial set pressure of 1.1 times the operating pressure. For pumps with flow rates below 15 m³/h, a safety valve is not required.
---
**Operation Instructions and Precautions**
1. Mount the pump and motor on a solid base to prevent vibration damage and ensure smooth operation.
2. Ensure all electrical connections meet government standards.
3. General working configuration: Input screw facing right, outlet on top, rotation direction is clockwise. Contact us if other configurations are needed.
4. Install a 20-mesh filter with a flow area four times that of the pump inlet.
5. Pipe size must match the pump’s inlet and outlet; otherwise, performance will be affected.
6. Clean all pipes and filters before first use to avoid blockages.
7. Open all valves before starting the pump. Adjust as needed after normal operation.
8. Monitor vacuum value after startup. If no vacuum is achieved within one minute, stop and check.
9. When using the pump for cabin sweeping, limit operation time to 3 minutes to avoid seal damage.
10. Use 180# medium load gear oil. Regularly check oil level and temperature (not exceeding 70°C normally, 80°C for long-term operation).
11. Check and add grease to the gears regularly.
12. For closed-seal frame pumps, avoid closing other pipes if leakage occurs in the sealing area to prevent bearing damage.
13. For high-flow and high-pressure pumps, water cooling may be required. Cooling water flow should be around 2 m³/h.
14. Use a heating system when transporting high-viscosity media.

**Common Issues and Solutions**
1. **Pump Cannot Prime or Displacement Not Matching Rating**
- Possible cause: Leaking pipe, leading to poor vacuum formation.
→ Check and tighten bolts or replace washers.
- Wear between the screw and pump body over time.
→ Replace worn parts.
- Excessive vacuum at the inlet causing vibration.
→ Check for clogged filters or pipes.
- Damaged shaft seal allowing air into the pump.
→ Replace the damaged seal.
- Safety valve not functioning properly.
→ Adjust or replace the spring.
- Impurities inside the safety valve.
→ Clean the valve to restore sealing.
2. **Unusual Noise, Smoke, or Pump Stopping with High Bearing and Gear Temperatures**
- Damaged bearings causing screws to hit the pump body.
→ Replace the bearings.
- Lack of oil or damaged bearings causing pump failure.
→ Add oil or replace bearings.
- Foreign objects entering the pump cavity.
→ Clean the cavity and repair.
- Insufficient or contaminated gear oil.
→ Add or replace oil.
- Damaged gears due to lack of lubrication.
→ Replace gears and adjust screw gap to prevent collision.

**Assembly and Disassembly of Twin Screw Pump**
**Disassembly of the Pump Input Axle End**
- Remove the coupling and key.
- Take off the shaft cups from both ends.
- Remove the bearings and retaining washers.
- Use the four screw holes on the bracket to retract it.
- Carefully remove the bearing, ensuring the adjusting washer is not misplaced.
- Check the seal and bearings for damage and replace if necessary.
- Pull out the screw for inspection unless the pump cavity is clean.
**Reassembly of the Pump Input Axle End**
- Reinstall the bracket and insert the locating pin tightly.
- Place the adjusting washer back, replacing the oil seal if damaged.
- Assemble the bearing, retaining washer, and nut using a dedicated sleeve tool.
- Reattach the two bearing-end shaft cups.
**Disassembly of the Gearbox End**
- Remove the gearbox.
- Take off the gear compression nut and retaining washer, noting the direction.
- Follow the same steps as above for the remaining components.
**Reassembly of the Gearbox End**
- Reassemble the gear, retaining washer, and compression nut in the correct position.
- Install the gearbox and fill with gear oil.
- Test the screw rotation for smoothness. If everything is fine, reattach the coupling.
