**Brief Introduction of Sand Casting:**
Sand casting is one of the oldest and most widely used metal forming techniques in the industry today. It is highly versatile, capable of producing both small and large components from a variety of materials. This method is particularly popular for its cost-effectiveness and flexibility.
We offer three main types of sand casting: green sand casting, resin sand casting, and water glass sand casting. These are available for both ferrous and non-ferrous materials. For example, green sand casting is commonly used with gray iron and ductile iron, while resin and water glass sand castings are suitable for carbon steel, alloy steel, and stainless steel.
Our casting capabilities range from as light as 0.05 kg up to 15,000 kg for green sand castings, and even heavier for resin and water glass methods. The largest parts can reach dimensions of up to 5,000 mm x 2,000 mm x 1,500 mm. We use various molding techniques such as floor hand molding, jolt squeezer lines, and automatic molding lines to meet different customer requirements in terms of size, weight, and quantity.
For steel castings, we provide options like water glass and resin sand casting, which are ideal for plain carbon, alloy, and stainless steels. Our smallest steel casting is around 1 kg, and the largest can go up to 20 tons. If the part is smaller than 1 kg, we recommend investment casting instead.
Non-ferrous sand castings are also available, mainly using green sand. These are suitable for copper and aluminum alloys, and can be produced in weights ranging from 0.1 kg to 100 kg.
All first article samples come with layout drawings and material certifications via spectrometer. Custom inspection reports are also available upon request.
A wide range of secondary operations can be performed on all three types of sand castings, including shot blasting, heat treatment, machining, surface finishing, assembly services, and custom packaging.
