According to foreign media reports, Mercedes-Benz recently announced that it will exhibit its first pickup at the Geneva Motor Show, and plans to sell in the European market by the end of this year.

It is reported that Mercedes-Benz plans to display the X-class concept car at the Geneva Motor Show on March 7th. This is the first time that Mercedes-Benz has exhibited this model to the public after showing it to reporters last October. The first medium pickup is aimed at families and consumers who are keen on outdoor sports and business activities. According to Mercedes-Benz spokesman, the production car will be launched this summer.

At the auto show, Mercedes-Benz will demonstrate two concept cars. The first model, known as the "Stylish Explorer," had larger wheels and a smoother body that looked more like an SUV. The second model, called the Powerful Adventurer, was rather rugged and off-road.

The first pickup was built on the Nissan Navara platform and will be produced at the Nissan Barcelona plant. It is reported that Renault's upcoming Alaskan (Alaska) is also built on the Navara platform and produced by the same factory.

Mercedes-Benz pickups are targeted at the price of Volkswagen Amarok. Mercedes-Benz had previously stated that Europe, Latin America, South Africa, and Australia will become the pickup market. In addition to production at the Barcelona plant, the Mercedes Benz pickup will also be produced at Renault's Argentine factory and will be sold primarily to the South American market. It is understood that Mercedes-Benz is still considering whether to sell this pickup in the United States.
