When the vehicle is subjected to a frontal collision, the front airbag may not be able to deploy normally as expected, increasing the risk of occupant injury and posing a safety hazard. Jaguar Land Rover (China) Investment Co., Ltd. will upgrade the auxiliary restraint control module software to the latest version for the vehicles within the scope of the recall to eliminate defects.
For some vehicles in the above range (2), due to design reasons, the harness connection of the auxiliary restraint control module to the side impact sensor is incorrect. When the vehicle is in a position behind the B-pillar, the side air curtain may not be deployed or delayed, which increases the risk of injury to the rear passengers and poses a safety hazard.
