NASA: Two American astronauts will be out of the cabin to replace the International Space Station battery

According to foreign media reports, NASA (NASA) said the agency astronaut罗伯特金布罗and Pei Jihui Robertson January 6 will spacewalk, to update the International Space Station's power system and access the new lithium-ion battery .

According to experts, the 50th batch of inspection team leader Kim Bro and the accompanying engineer Whitson will work on the outer surface of the space station for 6 hours. They need to install the adapter plate and access the new battery, which was originally placed on the outer surface of the space station by a robot controlled by the earth.

European Space Agency astronaut Thomas Peske and Russian astronaut Oleg   Nowitzki will assist astronauts working outside the station.

Six new lithium-ion batteries were shipped to the space station in December to replace the 12 nickel-hydrogen batteries that are now powering the space station. Nine old batteries will be taken with the other garbage along with the cargo ship, and three will be disconnected from the power supply system and left on the outer surface. The first batch of six batteries will be shipped from Japan's II Transfer Vehicle (HTV)-6 cargo ship at the end of January.
