In this regard, experts pointed out that for the newly added chlorination process capacity, the use of only titanium-rich materials with a titanium dioxide content of not less than 90% is highly likely to make the production of chlorinated titanium dioxide in China repeat the same mistakes as the raw materials of the Chinese steel industry. It is not conducive to the domestic enterprises actively investing in the development of technology with independent intellectual property rights. In the long run, it hinders the healthy development of the chlorinated titanium dioxide industry in China and limits the competition between China's titanium dioxide industry and international giants.


The industry believes that since 90% of the titanium-rich material is not easy to find, domestic companies can use the characteristics of chlorination raw materials to choose diversity, and more to devote themselves to the development of chlorination projects, so as to achieve the goal of cleaner production in the entire titanium dioxide industry. .
