With its 100-year history, BPW is one of the world's largest manufacturers of axles. It also brings its latest axle manufacturing technology and related products to Hannover International Commercial Vehicle Show. At the scene, the reporter conducted an exclusive interview with Mr. Frank Simon, the overseas sales director of BPW. Through interviews, Mr. Frank Simon introduced and compared the current European truck transport market and the Chinese market. 
Mr. Frank Simon said that in Europe, the semi-trailer's contribution to transportation is very large. About 75% of freight is completed by semi-trailers. Take the German semi-trailer market, the most popular is the side curtain trailer, which accounts for nearly 75% of the German trailer market. The other 25% of the market is occupied by towbar semi-trailers. In the towbar semi-trailer, it is divided into two types, namely the center axle trailer and the towbar type trailer with a turntable. Among them, 80% are center axle trailers, and the remaining 20% ​​are towbar type trailers with turntables. 
Apart from the most popular side curtain trailers, the reason why the central axle trailer is so popular is that the mid-axle axle trailer can follow the truck well when it is advancing, and only the single turning point of the tow pin hole when it is retreating. That is, there is a good turnability when moving forward and backwards. The tow bar type trailer with a turntable has two turning points, one is a traction pin hole, and the other is a turntable itself, so it is slightly inferior in steering performance to the center axle trailer. 
At present, logistics can be described as a rapidly developing market in China. Compared with Europe, Mr. Frank Simon expressed his suggestions for the development of the Chinese market.
One of the most urgently needed but neglected areas in China is the standardized loading platform. With this foundation, there will be standardized trays and tray boxes. In Europe, there are clear standards for loading platforms, and standard size loading platforms are usually optimized for trailer dimensions. In order to ensure the efficient packing and handling of raw materials during transportation, standardization is very important. 
Take BPW, for example, BPW has standardized pallets and brackets that customers can lease to BPW. And at BPW, customers can also choose a one-time packaging tray that does not provide rental services and can generally be used to transport bulky products. This point appears to Mr Frank as the biggest difference between the current logistics market in China and Europe.
