On the morning of February 7, 2012, Su Bo, the deputy minister of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, led a 12-member research team to visit Weichai for investigation and research and highly appraised the development achievements and information construction achievements Weichai achieved. Since 1998, Weichai has created high-speed growth performance for more than ten consecutive years. In the face of the severe macroeconomic situation in 2011, Weichai achieved a steady and good development.

In terms of informationization and the integration of the two, Weichai took the opportunity of development and reform, focusing on the goals of digital management, R&D collaboration and manufacturing standardization, and carried out large-scale information construction. Through the six information platforms and more than 30 supporting systems, a highly efficient and comprehensive support for computer networks has been established, which has achieved product life cycle management, supported enterprise connotative growth, and also provided strong support for the rapid development of the company. In the next 5 to 10 years, Weichai will further implement information-based upgrading projects, enhance the in-depth integration of informationization and industrialization, and strive to create "digitalized firewood."

Vice Minister Su Bo fully affirmed the achievements made in the development of Weichai, the informationization construction and the integration of the two. He said that Weichai has developed from a small military factory to a large-scale enterprise group with dozens of subsidiaries, and has grown from a single engine company into a multi-disciplinary and diversified equipment manufacturing group, and has made remarkable achievements. We hope that Weichai will continue to accelerate structural adjustment, change the mode of development, continue to advance the pace of informationization, and develop into an important global equipment manufacturing industry with unique characteristics.
