This set of 22,000 Nm3/h and pressure swing adsorption CO separation equipment from the water gas of the Ender furnace marked the further leap in the application of the autonomous PSA technology in China. As of press time, the device is about to complete the processing of equipment, and will implement the overall installation in February next year, and it will be completed and put into operation in August of the same year.

According to reports, the core technology of this process, PU-1 Cu adsorbent, has been widely recognized by the industry at home and abroad due to its good performance and long life.

Beijing Peking University Pioneer Science and Technology Co., Ltd. has made China's PSA-CO technology one of the most advanced in the world through more than ten years of scientific research. In the past, the production scale CO production of domestic process plants was generally less than 2,000 Nm3/h, and the maximum size of international similar plants was only 3000 Nm3/h. In August of this year, the Pioneer of Peking University built and put into operation the 10,500 Nm3/h PSA-CO equipment that was built for the acetic acid plant of Shaanxi Yulin Natural Gas Chemical Industry Co., Ltd., becoming the largest PSA-CO plant currently put into operation at home and abroad. The construction of a plant with a CO output of 22,000 Nm3/h indicates that China's autonomous PSA-CO technology has become a global leader.

According to reports, Peking University began to develop PSA adsorbents in the early 1990s. In February 2003, Beijing Peking University Pioneer Science and Technology Co., Ltd. applied the development results of Cu adsorbent (PU-1) pressure swing adsorption CO separation technology to large-scale plants with CO output of 1700 Nm3/h in Jiangsu Danhua Group. Performance indicators have reached the international advanced level. After that, the company continuously improved the performance of PU-1 Cu adsorbent, making it have good adsorption performance and high adsorption selectivity.

Compared with conventional 5A molecular sieves, the pressure swing adsorption process using PU-1 Cu adsorbent is highly adaptable to the feed gas. It can separate high-purity CO from any feed gas containing CO, and the impurities and The fluctuation of CO content has little effect on the purity and output of product CO, which can ensure the stable operation of the device. At the same time, the adsorbent has a longer service life, and the CO product gas has high purity and yield, and the cost is low. These unique features have made the PU-1 Cu adsorbent attractive to foreign multinational corporations. US Air Products has applied the product on a large scale. The scope of its application in China is also rapidly expanding. So far, the Pioneer of the Beijing University has signed nearly 20 sets of new and improved installations.
