Autolif generated sales of $8.2 billion in 2011

Autoliv announced the 2011 full-year financial report a few days ago.

Throughout 2011, Autolif’s net sales were US$8.232 billion, up 15% year-on-year, of which organic sales were US$631 million, up 9% year-on-year. The growth in organic sales was mainly attributed to Otolif’s growth in South Korea. , organic sales growth in China and North America.

In 2011, Autolif’s sales in the European market was US$3.102 billion, an increase of 12% year-on-year, of which organic sales increased by 6%; and sales in the Americas were US$2.559 billion, an increase of 17% over the same period last year, including organic sales. The amount increased by 16% year-on-year; sales in the Chinese market were 982 million US dollars, an increase of 21% year-on-year, of which organic sales increased by 13% year-on-year.

In 2011, Autolif’s gross profit was US$1.728 billion, a year-on-year growth of 9%; operating profit was US$889 million, a year-on-year increase of 2%; net profit was US$623 million and earnings per share was US$6.65.
