Public Company Information: NASDAQ:ADSK  NEW YORK CITY (CGI ANNUAL MEETING) — At this year’s Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) Annual Meeting, Autodesk is set to announce a new initiative called the Technology Impact Program. This program will provide free design software to selected nonprofit organizations that are using design as a force for good in the world. The company has pledged to donate $7.5 million worth of software during the first year of the program. “The goal of the Technology Impact Program is to give nonprofits the tools they need to make a real difference,†said John Cary, Executive Director of the Autodesk Foundation. “We aim to support at least 500 nonprofit organizations with our professional design software in the first year. These groups are working on everything from building hospitals and schools to developing life-saving medical devices—each contributing to a more sustainable and equitable future.†Autodesk has long been committed to supporting organizations that use design for social good. From schools and clean tech startups to global nonprofits, the company has shared its software with thousands around the world. With the launch of the Technology Impact Program, eligible nonprofits will now have access to two licenses of high-end design software, including the Autodesk Product Design Suite Premium, Building Design Suite Premium, Infrastructure Design Suite Premium, and Entertainment Creation Suite Ultimate. Nonprofits can apply online at www.autodesk.com/technologyimpact. One of the first recipients of the program’s resources is Boston-based MASS Design Group, known for its award-winning Butaro Hospital in Rwanda. Alan Ricks, COO of the organization, said, “With Autodesk’s advanced 3D design tools, we’ve been able to better communicate our vision with local builders and community members. It helps us ensure that every structure we create is truly rooted in the place it's built. We believe no area lacks resources—we just need to find the right way to use them for maximum impact.†About Autodesk Autodesk empowers people to imagine, design, and create a better world.
