The way of braking operation in a locomotive

When the locomotive is in emergency braking, the engine is automatically unloaded and the siren sounds. In addition, the locomotive will generate an emergency braking effect in the following cases: the operator loses the maneuvering ability; the total air cylinder pressure is low; no operation signal; PLC abnormality; locomotive overspeed. When the knob of the hand-held controller or the bridge is placed in the holding position, the solenoid valve is kept energized, and the passage of the pressure air and the proportional pressure reducing valve under the action of the air duct and the action valve is cut off, so that the action valve acts. The pressure value of the pressure air below the crucible remains unchanged, so that the pressure of the brake cylinder of the locomotive remains in its original state and is in a holding position. When the speed is less than 0.5km/h, the locomotive is in the braking state and the brake cylinder pressure is 160kPa. When the direction switch selects the direction and gives the vehicle speed, the locomotive starts and accelerates under the braking condition. When the locomotive speed is greater than 0.5km/h, the brake cylinder pressure is automatically relieved. Disconnect the pressure holding switch, then exit the pressure control start control.

JZ-Y straight-through electro-pneumatic brakes are available in both wireless and manual operation. They are controlled by the locomotive microcomputer control system, but mainly by wireless operation, supplemented by manual operation. It has stage braking and phase mitigation. Two different steering directions are used in the operation of wireless steering and manual operation of the brakes. In wireless operation, an action mode is adopted, that is, the rotary switch is directly placed in the position of the braking zone, and only one action is also required, which is also called the automatic pressure-holding brake operating mode; when manually operated, two action modes are adopted, that is, the handle is After the brake position is released for a certain period of time, the handle is moved back to the holding position. The brake operation requires two movements, also known as the non-automatic pressure-maintaining brake operation mode.
