The reading error is quite large and the technical specifications require. The automatic weather station wind direction sensor adopts 7-bit gray code encoding method to perform photoelectric conversion, converts the angular displacement of the shaft into a digital signal, and the CPU of the collector solves and calculates according to the corresponding formula to obtain the corresponding wind direction value. Gray code is a kind of cyclic code. There is only one bit change between two adjacent codes. The code plate rotates with the wind vane. The code of the position of the wind mark is determined by 7 pairs of photoelectric control tubes. In practical use, only 7 pairs of photoelectric control tubes are needed.
