Carol Stream Fire District awards and promotions
Hey there,
I just got back from the Carol Stream Fire Protection District’s Awards & Swearing-In Ceremony that took place last Friday, May 22nd, 2015. It was such a great event, filled with pride and recognition for all the hardworking individuals who have made significant contributions to the department. I managed to snap some pictures throughout the evening, so here’s what went down:
First off, Retired Firefighter Leo Penkala was honored with a Unit Performance Award for showcasing exceptional skills and proficiency during an emergency situation. That’s quite the achievement!
Next up, five brand-new firefighter/paramedics were officially sworn in—Michael Kucia, Daniel Patt, Tyler Poffenbarger, Daniel Nelson, and Adam Mullendore. It’s always exciting to see fresh talent join the team.
On the promotion front, three firefighters were elevated to the rank of lieutenant: Chad Grandgeorge, Daniel Stelter, and James Jones. And Lieutenant Robert Schulz was promoted to Battalion Chief—a well-deserved move!
Congratulations to everyone who received awards or promotions. It’s inspiring to see people recognized for their dedication and service.
