Fatal House explosion in Mundelein, 1-2-15
This afternoon, firefighters from Mundelein were dispatched to a house explosion that occurred at 918 Killarney Pass Drive, just a short distance from Fire Station 1. By the time they arrived, the split-level home was fully engulfed in flames. The Daily Herald reported that one person has been confirmed dead as a result of the explosion and subsequent fire, which happened on the north side of the village around noon on Friday.
