FDIC 2013 wrap up
I just got back from the massive FDIC event in Indianapolis, and I’m still processing all the incredible stuff I saw! There were so many cool displays and new vehicles on show, especially from the Chicago area. First up, Dylan Konchan sent over some great photos featuring some fresh gear from Alsip and Berwyn.
Dylan mentioned he had snapped shots of Alsip’s shiny new light bar and Berwyn’s brand-new ambulance. The details might be sparse right now, but you can already tell these are top-of-the-line additions. The images really capture the sleek design and modern feel of these units. I’ve included a couple of his snaps below so you can see what I mean.
Next, Tyler Tobolt shared some fantastic shots of Berwyn’s brand-new Wheeled Coach ambulance, Ambulance 906. It’s an absolute stunner, and Tyler also managed to get some pics of Marseilles’ brand-new Alexis Engine 531. Finally, Larry Shapiro sent over a breathtaking panoramic shot of the exhibits inside the Lucas Oil Stadium. It was absolutely packed with cutting-edge fire and rescue equipment, and Larry’s photo does a fantastic job of capturing the sheer scale of the event. You’ll definitely want to check it out—it feels like you’re standing right there in the middle of it all!
The energy at FDIC this year was through the roof, and it was amazing to see so many departments showcasing their latest acquisitions. I think everyone left feeling inspired and ready to take on whatever challenges come next.
