New Ambulances in Lake Villa
The Lake Villa Fire District has recently acquired two new ambulances. These are Type III units manufactured in 2011 by Osage, built on Ford E-450 chassis. According to Jeff Rudolph, who provided the information, neither of the new units has been assigned a number yet, and they appear to be identical. From what can be determined, Ambulance 243 — previously known as the “05′†unit — has been retired. Ambulance 242 was renumbered to 244, and Ambulance 244 was moved up to 245. It’s unclear what happened to the old Ambulance 241. The two new units will now take the numbers 241 and 242.
As reported in an earlier post, the new ambulances are painted red, which is a significant change from the current fleet that features a blue and white color scheme. This newer look appears to mark a shift in the department’s branding, as these are the first red ambulances seen in Lake Villa. The previous fleet was purchased as part of the Lake Villa Rescue Squad, and the new units may signal a modernization effort.
There are two images attached showing the new ambulances. The first one displays a 2011 Osage Type III ambulance on a Ford E-450 chassis, which will be assigned to Ambulance 242. This is the first red ambulance in the district, according to Jeff Rudolph’s photo. The second image shows what appears to be the previous ambulance assigned to 242, likely the 2010 Osage model. That unit is now being reassigned to Station 2 as Ambulance 244.
With the arrival of these new units, the fire district is updating its emergency response capabilities. The older 2010 ambulance, once stationed at Ambulance 242, is moving to a new position, helping to streamline operations. The new ambulances bring improved technology and comfort for both patients and crew, reflecting the ongoing commitment to public safety and service in the community.

They are made from high-quality materials that can withstand harsh environments, resist corrosion, and last for years. This makes them an ideal choice for use in sewerage systems, where exposure to chemicals, sunlight, and extreme temperatures can cause damage to other materials.
Another advantage of PVC fittings is their cost-effectiveness. They are affordable and require minimal maintenance, which can help save money on repairs and replacements over time. Additionally, PVC fittings are easy to install, which can reduce installation time and labor costs.
PVC fittings are also versatile and can be used in a variety of applications, such as irrigation systems, drainage systems, and more. They come in different sizes and shapes, making them adaptable to different plumbing projects. This versatility makes them a practical and efficient choice for sewerage systems that require a variety of fittings.
Moreover, PVC fittings are lightweight and easy to handle, which can make the installation process faster and more straightforward. This saves time and reduces the risk of injury during installation.
Finally, PVC fittings are reliable and can provide long-lasting performance. They are resistant to corrosion and can withstand pressure, which makes them ideal for use in sewerage systems. This reliability ensures that the sewerage system functions correctly and avoids costly repairs.
Overall, PVC fittings are an excellent choice for anyone looking for a durable, cost-effective, versatile, and reliable plumbing solution for their sewerage system. With their many benefits, PVC fittings can provide long-lasting performance and cost savings over time, making them an ideal choice for any sewerage system project.
