Chicago 2-11 Alarm fire, 4-6-15

This message comes from Eric Haak:

Here are some photos of the 2-11 fire in Chicago, taken on Monday morning, April 6th, at 1915 S. Carpenter. The first calls came in just before 9:00 a.m. As is typical for the Pilsen neighborhood, the old buildings were tightly packed with very little space between them. There was a large two-story frame building connected to a three-story ordinary by a narrow deck, which seemed to be the main source of the fire load from my perspective. The front of the structure didn’t show much, and the only view of the back was over a fence. There wasn’t much room in the “B” or “D” gangways either.
