Chicago 2-11 Alarm fire, 4-6-15

This message comes from Eric Haak:

Here are some photos from the 2-11 fire in Chicago on Monday morning, April 6th, at 1915 S. Carpenter. The first calls came in just before 9:00 a.m. As is typical of the Pilsen neighborhood, the old buildings were packed closely together with very little space between them. There was a large two-story frame building that seemed to be connected to a three-story ordinary via a small deck, and this area appeared to be where most of the fire load was concentrated. From the front, there wasn’t much to see, and the only view of the back was over a fence. The “B” and “D” gangways had very limited access.
